Caves with indigenous symbolism & karst marine landscape. Visit the northern treasures of the Dominican Republic on this trip to Los Haitises National Park.
Tour Details
After picking you up from your hotel in Juan Dolio at the indicated time, we'll set off to our destination: Los Haitises National Park.
After an hour and a half drive, we'll arrive at the Sabana de la Mar dock. We'll have a breakfast of coffee, fruit, and sandwiches and then board a speedboat that will take us to San Lorenzo Bay and its famous mangroves. We'll then visit the caves of Los Haitises to see its amazing indigenous petroglyphs and impressive karst rock formations.
Getting hungry? Depending on availability, we’ll head over to either Cueva de la Arena beach or Caño Hondo. You'll be able to tuck into a delicious buffet lunch, complete with soda, water, and fresh local juices like passion fruit, tamarind, and cherry. After you've eaten, you’ll have some free time to take a dip in the beach or the natural pools at Caño Hondo.
Finally, at 2:30 pm, we'll board the boat again to admire the breathtaking panoramic views of Los Haitises National Park and, if we're lucky, spot the dolphins that inhabit this area of the Dominican Republic while we return to your hotel.
