Make the most of your time in the Dominican Republic discovering some of its most incredible wildlife on this whale watching cruise in Samaná. An unmissable experience!
After picking you up from your hotel in Juan Dolio at 6 am, we'll board a bus for the one hour drive to the port of Las Cañitas on the Samaná peninsula.
Once there, we'll board a boat to cruise the Bay of Samaná, an area known to be home to numerous humpback whales. Keep your eyes peeled for these incredible creatures and hopefully we'll get to see them leap above the water.
Following the whale watching cruise, we'll head to Cayo Levantado. On this small island we'll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at 12 noon. After lunch, you can make the most of the crystal clear waters of the Bay of Samana and stroll along its white sandy beaches - a dazzling natural paradise!
At 2:30 pm, we'll leave the island and board the boat to return to Las Cañitas. From there, we'll take the road back to Juan Dolio, where we'll arrive at 6 pm.
Whales are unpredictable animals and the chance of seeing them will depend on many factors including the current, the weather, and the wind direction.
