Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Barahona to start our day trip to the beach of Bahía de las Águilas and the impressive Oviedo Lagoon.
During the trip to La Cueva, we'll board a boat heading towards Bahía de las Águilas and enjoy incredible views of this stunning area in the Dominica Republic along the way.
About 15 minutes later, we'll arrive at our first destination of the day. In Bahía de las Águilas, you'll have about 3 hours of free time to take a swim in what has been recognized as the most crystalline waters in the world.
Our adventure continues at Oviedo Lagoon, located in the heart of Jaragua National Park. On board a motorboat, we'll travel through this spectacular saltwater nature reserve.
During the tour, you can see numerous large birds such as herons and spoonbills. What's more, we'll approach Flamingo Island, where we'll see the largest colony of flamingos in the country. To sweeten the pot, we'll have lunch at this spot, enjoying the views.
Finally, we'll bring the experience to an end, back at your hotel in Barahona, 10 hours later.
