The exhibition traces the origins of this period, beginning with the first U.S. intervention in the Dominican Republic in 1916, and continuing through the end of Joaquín Balaguer’s dictatorship in 1978, which succeeded Trujillo’s regime.
The museum features detailed panels displaying photographs, press clippings, documents, and artifacts from that time. Highlights include a hologram and an animatronic dramatization of Manolo Tavárez Justo—a lawyer, political leader, revolutionary, and guerrilla fighter.
