Try your hand at being an explorer for a day and join us on our day trip to Los Haitises National Park & Cayo Levantado. You'll go on an adventure through mangroves, caves and beaches.
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Caño Hondo Port, by the gates of the Los Haitises National Park, and start an unforgettable day surrounded by the lush greenery of the Samaná Peninsula.
First of all, we'll board a boat and sail through the Caño Hondo River so you can observe the varied local flora and fauna. As we sail through the vibrant mangroves, you'll also be able to see pelicans resting on the mogotes. Don't forget your camera!
Once we've reached San Lorenzo Bay, we'll get off the boat and start exploring both Arena and Linea Cave. As we walk through these caves, keep your eyes peeled for the fascinating pictograms and petroglyphs left behind by indigenous peoples.
Our next stop is Cayo Levantado. This islet, located in Samaná Bay, is one of the world's most picture-perfect paradise spots. Those who visit are usually enchanted by its white sandy beaches and warm, crystal clear water teeming with coral and tropical fish - perfect for snorkelling!
Finally, we'll have a delicious lunch in the area, and then we'll start our way back to the starting point, where we'll arrive 7.5 hours after the pickup.
