With this ticket to the Lava Show, you'll enjoy a fun and educational show, learning all about Iceland's volcanoes and attending a simulated eruption of one of them. You'll love it!
Why Attend the Lava Show?
Education and entertainment combine to perfection on this Lava Show in Reykjavík. This immersive experience recreates a volcanic eruption by superheating real lava to a scorching temperature of 1,100 degrees Celsius (2,012 degrees Fahrenheit). Pretty impressive, right?
With this ticket, you'll enjoy the classic experience of Lava Show, which includes seats closest to the area where the lava flows. The exhibition is divided into 3 parts: the introduction in English, a video projection and a simulation of the eruption.
In the first part, an expert will explain the volcanic origin of Iceland, which has a unique geology. During the projection, you'll understand with photos the magnitude of the effects of the volcanic activity in the country, and you'll see the most catastrophic volcanic events that Iceland has suffered.
Afterwards, the awaited moment will arrive. The lava will begin to run in front of your eyes and, as it advances through a safe and controlled space, you'll be able to clearly smell, hear and feel the intense heat it emanates—it will be an experience like no other!
The Lava Show will finish after between 45 and 55 minutes.
