At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Miches. From there, we'll begin a 30-minute journey to the shores of the Laguna del Limón, a spectacular site in the northern area of the Dominican Republic.
After learning some easy safety rules and gearing up with the necessary material, we'll begin an exciting kayak tour along the Laguna del Limón. Are you ready to paddle?
Along the tour, which will last approximately 1 hour, we'll discover the mangroves surrounding the lagoon. These formations come from natural tunnels that we'll be seeing during the tour.
As we paddle, you'll see diverse native birds in the area, like herons, egrets, ospreys, and occasionally a woodpecker from Española Island. If the weather is good, we may even spot iguanas, crabs, and freshwater turtles sunbathing.
Finally, we'll learn about the ecological and cultural significance of this lagoon for the local villages and paddle to the starting point.
From there, we'll drive back to your hotel in Miches, where we'll conclude this 2-hour activity.
