If you've ever wondered what it would be like to kayak around a glacier, our Vatnajökull Glacier Kayak Tour is perfect for you. You'll row through the breathtaking Icelandic wilderness and have an unforgettable adventure.
At your chosen time, we'll meet in front of the Gerði Guesthouse. Once everyone's arrived, the guide will give us some tips on how to handle the kayaks and explain some safety measures that we'll need to follow.
We'll then head to the lagoon of the Vatnajökull glacier, which is one of Iceland's most important and famous glaciers. When we reach the shore, we'll start our kayak tour and row through the icy water as we admire incredible panoramic views of this spring and its surroundings.
We'll be able to contemplate the Vatnajökull glacier from a privileged perspective. At that moment, you'll really come to appreciate the enormous dimensions of this ice giant. Did you know that it occupies 10% of the country's surface area? It's truly spectacular!
Our tour will finish as we return to the starting point after 3.5 hours of adventure.
The kayaks can be single or double kayaks. It depends on the availability of kayaks on the day of booking, and your skill in handling them.
