On this day trip to Aguas Blancas Waterfall, we’ll combine culture and nature while exploring the surrounding landscapes and visiting impressive waterfalls.
Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we’ll meet at Central Park in Constanza and travel southeast by bus on a 45-minute journey. Along the way, we’ll pass through a mountainous area with lush forests in the Central Mountain Range of the Dominican Republic.
Upon arrival, we’ll begin a 45-minute hike along moderately sloped trails. We’ll walk among layers of sedimentary rock and outcrops that reflect the complex geological history of the Central Mountain Range. We’ll hear the call of the palmchat, the national bird, and with some luck, we may spot woodpeckers and small anole lizards.
Before long, we’ll reach Aguas Blancas Waterfall, which drops more than 80 m (262 ft) into a natural amphitheater of rocky walls. There, you’ll have 1 hour to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and, if you wish, swim in its cool, clear waters.
Afterward, we’ll return along the same trail and visit a restaurant in the area. There, we’ll give you the option of enjoying a typical Dominican lunch made with fresh seasonal ingredients. After this 1-hour break, we’ll return to Constanza.
We’ll say our goodbyes at the starting point after a total of 4 to 5 hours.
