Hidden within the Jaragua National Park lies the heavenly Bahía de las Águilas. On this day trip, you'll explore this paradise on earth and enjoy one of the most spectacular beaches in the world.
Bahia de las Aguilas Boat Ride
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Cueva de los Pescadores pier, where we'll board a boat to sail to the renowned Bahía de las Águilas.
We'll sail for 20 to 30 minutes in this unique natural spot in the Dominican Republic until we reach our destination: 4.34 miles (7 kilometers) full of unspoiled beaches. Did you know that it's considered the beach with the clearest waters in the world? It'll only take a glimpse for you to agree with this statement!
Once we hop off the boat, you'll admire the subtropical dry forest around the bay and its beautiful karst landscape. You may even spot a rhinoceros iguana amidst the bushes, one of the most characteristic species in this part of the island.
You'll have the rest of the day to explore this wonderful area at your own pace. If you decide to take a swim, it'll be quite easy to come across a variety of corals and starfish, as well as hawksbill turtles. If you get hungry after swimming, in the bay's vicinity, you'll find the perfect spots to grab some lunch and try the local cuisine.
Lastly, we'll regroup to return to the starting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 9 hours.
