Enjoy the End of the World on this tour of Ushuaia, during which we'll also take the Martial Glacier chairlift to admire its snow-covered landscapes.
Tour Details
We’ll meet on Avenida Prefectura Naval Argentina to begin our walking tour of Ushuaia, one of the southernmost cities in South America.
We’ll start this tour by exploring the La Misión neighborhood, the founding site of Ushuaia. We’ll discover its origins and learn about the history of the first settlements that began to develop in this southern hub, which is surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, right at the southernmost tip of the Andes mountain range.
We’ll discuss the natural landscape of Tierra del Fuego as we head toward the iconic sign marking Ushuaia as the “End of the World.” Next, we’ll board a vehicle that will take us to Cerro Martial, located north of the city, in just 20 minutes.
Once there, we’ll enjoy a unique experience: a ride on the Martial Glacier chairlift! This ride will allow us to enjoy extraordinary panoramic views of Ushuaia, the Beagle Channel, and the snow-capped mountains of the Fuegian Andes.
Upon reaching the summit of the glacier, you’ll have about 1 hour of free time to explore part of its trails, take photos, and leisurely enjoy its spectacular landscapes. Afterward, we’ll take the chairlift back down to the base of the mountain, where we’ll have a light snack.
Finally, from the base of Mount Martial, we’ll take you by car to your hotel in Ushuaia, where we’ll wrap up this 4-hour activity.
