From the time the first settlers struggled to survive the country's frigid winter to the present day, skyr has accompanied Icelandic families and has become a dairy product consumed all over the world. In this interactive museum, you'll take a journey through its history and the uses and properties of skyr over the centuries.
In the different exhibition rooms at Skyrland, you'll be able to enjoy the aroma of the green grass of the Icelandic summer, meet the famous mythological cow and play a part in the stories that reveal how a dairy product has managed to shape a nation.
