During the booking process, you can choose between the following options.
3.5-Hour Tour
If you're looking to just whale watch in this protected area, this is the tour option for you. We'll set sail from Samaná port and enjoy watching these fascinating animals in their natural habitat. We'll spend 2 to 2.5 hours in the sanctuary, learning all about these aquatic mammals.
Important: this tour does not include food or a visit to Cayo Levantado.
7-Hour Tour
After meeting at the Avenida La Marina in Samaná at the designated time, we will board a catamaran, put on our life jackets, and head out into the bay.
During the trip, you will enjoy one of the most exciting experiences you can have in the north of the Dominican Republic - whale watching! We will drop anchor in the middle of the ocean and wait for the magnificent humpback whales to surface.
Do you know why this corner of the Caribbean is one of the ideal places for this activity? Every year, between January and March, some 3,000 humpback whales breed in these warm waters. You will be left speechless at the sight of these amazing marine creatures.
Then we will continue on our journey, heading to Cayo Levantado, a small island that seems to have been taken out of a dream. Once there, we disembark and let you have some free time to relax on one of the paradise beaches. Crystal clear water and serene white sand beaches... what more could you ask for?
And after enjoying a buffet lunch on the beach, we will return to the catamaran to start the way back. We will be back at the starting point after a total of 7 hours
