We’ll start by diving into the city’s history, which dates back to the 16th century. We’ll head to the city center, home to landmarks such as San Felipe Cathedral, City Hall, and the House of Culture. Along the way, you’ll notice the colonial-style buildings that define this area.
Next, we’ll explore the iconic Umbrella Street and Doña Blanca Street, known as the Pink Street. The perfect spots for photos. We’ll browse local shops and take a break to enjoy a coffee with a traditional empanada.
With renewed energy, we’ll visit San Felipe Fortress, a 16th-century military structure offering stunning views of the ocean, Mount Isabel de Torres, and the bustling port.
Our next stop will be a rum factory, a must-visit in the Dominican Republic. You’ll learn about the history and production of this iconic drink and its importance in the country. At the end, we’ll enjoy a tasting of different types of rum, including the traditional Mamajuana.
The tour continues along the Malecón, a lively seaside avenue on the Atlantic coast. We’ll then visit a chocolate factory to learn how cacao beans are transformed into some of the finest chocolate in the world, followed by a tasting.
Finally, we’ll head to Playa Dorada, where you’ll have 2 hours of free time to relax. It’s the perfect place to swim and sunbathe! To wrap up the experience, we’ll toast with a piña colada overlooking the sea.
