First, we'll head to a baseball stadium, where young talent begins to be built with determination and dedication. Here, you'll discover an academy for this sport, where young Dominicans practice to improve in their careers and reach the major leagues.
During the tour, we'll talk about the origin and the strong roots of baseball in the Dominican identity. You'll learn how this sport has become a cultural trait and a window of opportunity for many families. We'll also review the rules, positions of the players, and the techniques behind every pitch and swing.
Plus, you'll have the opportunity to interact with the players during practice. It'll be an inspiring moment, filled with excitement and learnings as you listen to their dreams and the efforts they dedicate to the sport.
After feeling the adrenaline of baseball, we'll head to the historic center of Puerto Plata. We'll stroll along its streets filled with Colonial-style buildings, among which the Museo del Ámbar, the Cathedral of St. Philip the Apostle, and a cacao factory stand out. You'll learn even more about Dominican identity at each of these sites.
We'll walk along the streets of Rosa, Sombrillas, and Chichiguas. Cameras at the ready? We'll stop along the way so you can take pictures of the city, immortalizing its charm.
Finally, after 5 hours in total, we'll say our goodbyes by dropping you off at your hotel or port.
