During the booking process, you can choose between different options. All include pickup at the meeting point and a 1-hour hot air balloon flight.
Please read the details for each option below:
After picking you up at the Windsor Hotel, we'll head to the take-off area, although which area we use will depend on the direction of the wind. Then, get ready, because it's time to fly!
Once in the balloon, we'll begin our hot air balloon ride over Melbourne, soaring over the Eastern Freeway, Albert Park (the stage for the famous F1 circuit), and the neighborhood of Essendon.
After taking in the incredible bird's-eye view of the city center skyline, the Australian Open Tennis Centre, the Yarra River, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and more, we'll land in a safe area, which will vary depending on the weather conditions and the wind direction. From here, we'll take you back to the initial meeting point.
During the booking process, you can choose if you want to include breakfast. In this case, after the hot air balloon ride, you'll enjoy a delicious 5-star breakfast at the Rochford Wines, and we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 4 hours.
If you choose this option, we'll pick you up at Federation Square and set off to Rochford Wines in Coldstream. After an approximately 1-hour journey, you'll observe how the balloon inflates, and we'll board the basket.
During the flight, you'll admire the first rays of the sun illuminating the vineyards, hills, and farms of the Yarra Valley, Victoria's most famous wine-growing region. You'll love it!
After landing, we'll return to Rochford Wines, where you'll enjoy a delicious breakfast surrounded by vineyards. Finally, we'll return to the meeting point and say our goodbyes 4 to 4.5 hours later.
Please note that the maximum weight to participate in the activity is 130 kg (286.6 lbs).
We recommend booking this activity as far in advance as possible, that way if the weather conditions are not favourable, we can change the date of the flight so that you have the best experience possible.
