In this picturesque region, we'll explore the local wine country and visit the historic Richmond Bridge.
Next, we’ll continue towards the Tasman Peninsula, surrounded by lush bushland, endemic wildlife, and breathtaking coastal landscapes. We’ll make our way through the cliffs of Doo Town, and before long, we’ll arrive at the stunning Tasman National Park in Pristine Pirates Bay, where the dramatic coastline and striking rock formations await.
From there, we’ll head to Port Arthur for a guided tour of this historic site. For a deeper dive into its fascinating past, you can explore at your own pace with an audio guide. You’ll have five hours to uncover the rich history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, including visits to the Interpretation Center, the Penitentiary, the Commandant's House, the Harbor Church, and the Port Church.
After our time at Port Arthur, we’ll board a boat for a cruise through Carnarvon Bay in search of the mysterious Island of the Dead. As we explore its eerie shores, we’ll share the chilling history of this convict burial site.
Following the boat tour, we’ll return to Port Arthur, where you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch on your own. After refueling, we highly recommend a visit to Tasmania’s famous Chocolate Foundry for a sweet treat.
