Tour Options
During the booking process, you'll be able to pick between the following two options:
Complete Daintree National Park Tour
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your accommodation in a custom off-roading vehicle and head north along the scenic Great Barrier Reef Drive toward the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park.
After light refreshments, we'll board a 1-hour Daintree River cruise, offering an insight into the region's unique flora and fauna, including the estuarine crocodile, an apex predator at home among some of the most biologically diverse mangrove habitat on Earth.
Back on land, we'll take an interpretive drive over the Alexandra Range into the heart of this ancient rainforest. Here, we'll join our local guide on a boardwalk tour, keeping an eye out for the elusive Southern Cassowary and the prehistoric Boyd's Rainforest Dragon. Along the way, we'll discover ancient ferns, palms, and enormous woody vines, with epiphytes, climbing plants, and orchids clinging to the limbs of towering rainforest trees. Mosses, invertebrates, and fungi carpet the forest floor, weaving an intricate web of life shaped over 180 million years.
Lunch, including tea, coffee, and a seasonal fruit platter, is served in a beautiful rainforest setting, with the opportunity for an invigorating rainforest swim. Keep your eyes open for jungle perch, saw-shelled turtles, and the dazzling electric-blue Ulysses butterfly.
We'll then visit Cape Tribulation beach, known as Kalkajaka to the local Kuku Yalanji people, for whom it has held immense cultural significance for over 50,000 years. It's also the only place on Earth where two UNESCO World Heritage sites converge, where the rainforest meets the reef.
The day concludes with a tropical fruit ice cream made from 100% locally sourced ingredients, followed by a cable ferry crossing back over the Daintree River, before we return you to your accommodation.
Then, we'll drop you back off at your accommodation after a total of 8-11 hours, depending on the location of your hotel.

At midday, we'll enjoy a tropical lunch in the rainforest at Heritage Lodge, overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Cooper Creek.
We'll then head to Cape Tribulation, where you'll walk along this world-renowned rainforest beach and take in the coastline and fringing coral reef from the Kulki Lookout.
