At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Akureyri Cruise Terminal to leave the city behind and embark on an excursion to Godafoss Waterfall. Let's go!
After half an hour's drive, we'll arrive at this amazing natural attraction, considered one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. We'll tell you all the things that make this impressive 12-meter-high waterfall unique and some amazing local legends. Then, we'll explore the unique natural environment surrounding Godafoss Waterfall.
Next, we'll head back to the center of Akureyri to visit the Botanical Garden. This almost 4-hectare public park is filled with more than 400 species of plants that have adapted to the climate of northern Iceland. Its location in the Eyjafjord provides protection for the plants and makes the perfect microclimate for plant growth.
Finally, we'll conclude the excursion back at the meeting point in Akureyri 3.5 hours after the start of the activity.
