Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from the Central Bus Station in Adelaide to begin this day trip to Kangaroo Island.
On the journey towards the Cape Jervis ferry terminal, we'll enjoy scenic views of the Fleurieu Peninsula, with its rolling hills, vineyards, and dreamy coastal landscapes.
Once we arrive at the port, we'll hop on the SeaLink ferry to travel to Penneshaw. This 45-minute journey is perfect for enjoying the impressive views of the Backstairs Passage strait.
Having arrived at Kangaroo Island, we'll hop onto a vehicle to explore this natural paradise. Our first stop will be the Seal Bay Conservation Park. Here, we'll go on a guided tour of the beach, where you'll get to walk among a colony of Australian sea lions. Did you know that these majestic creatures are in danger of extinction?
After this visit, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch made up of 2 courses in a local restaurant—the perfect way to re-energise before we continue our adventure! Having eaten, we'll venture into the Flinders Chase National Park, known for its incredible regeneration after a devastating 2020 fire.
Throughout our route, you'll have the chance to see koalas, echidnas, reptiles, and kangaroos in their natural habitat. We'll also visit iconic spots like the Remarkable Rocks, a group of rock formations that look like they come from an entirely different planet, and Admirals Arch, a natural arch that is home to long-nosed fur seals.
Our final stop will be at the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. Here you'll get to feed kangaroos and get close to adorable koalas while you learn fun facts about these animals from their carers.
Lastly, we'll return to Penneshaw to take the ferry back to Cape Jervis and hop on the bus back to Adelaide. We'll say our goodbyes at the initial meeting point after a total of 15 hours and 45 minutes.
